Webinar: From Product to Building: How Life Cycle Assessments Drive Smarter Sustainability Decisions October 6, 2025 | 12:00 - 1:00 PM CST | Register
Explore how Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) can unlock sustainability insights—from individual products to entire buildings—and how these tools support better design, allow for compliance, and foster competitive advantage.
Webinar Details:
From raw materials to manufacturing to end-of-life, every product has an environmental story—and Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) offer a data-driven way to tell it. Product LCAs can help manufacturers identify environmental hotspots, improve design decisions, meet client expectations or jurisdiction requirements, and validate sustainability claims. In this session, experts from Foresight will unpack the practical steps to conducting product LCAs, from gathering supplier data to using third-party tools for verification, with an eye toward transparency and market impact. But product sustainability is only part of the picture. BranchPattern will take the conversation upstream, exploring how architects and building professionals use whole-building LCAs to understand the environmental impacts of materials across the life of a structure. This presentation will make connections between what’s driving the increasing demand for EPDs to the application of key information across your portfolio or on your project. Learn how product data feeds into larger building performance models, and how manufacturers, owners, design and construction teams can work together to optimize sustainability outcomes at every scale—from screw to skyscraper.
Everyone involved in the AEC industry has a role to play in lowering the environmental impact of building design and construction. Attendees should question what they can influence on their next project as a result of this session – Will I as a designer or contractor ask manufacturers for EPDs? Will I as a manufacturer respond to growing demand and produce EPDs? Will I as a designer or contractor measure and account for environmental impact on my project? Will I as the owner require this assessment to take place on all projects? Will I set reduction targets and outline a pathway to reach those goals?
Attendees will walk away knowing their role in the effort to reduce environmental impact as well an understanding of the tools, resources, processes, and strategies available to realize reduction.
